Positano– Great for shopping as well as great beaches. Church of Santa Maria Assunta is pretty, and also hike up to Montepertuso for breath taking views. Its a very vertical city, so it may be better to stay elsewhere unless you are in extremely good shape (walking up and down to your hotel can be brutal).

Restaurants:

La Tagliata- fantastic view and great food

Chez Black – Amazing Seafood and Pizza

Zass

Ravello– Another great city in Amalfi, one of my favorites. Definitely make your way over to Villa Cimbrone. It has beautiful landscaped gardens, and then go to the Terrace of Infinity Terrace for unparalled views of the Amalfi Coast. If you feel like ponying up, one of the best hotels in Italy is in Ravello, the Belmond Hotel Caruso which has an infinity pool that is unreal. I can easily say it is the best hotel i have ever stayed in. The food was delicious, service impeccable, even the amenities and toiletries are top tier. While it might break the bank to stay here for a week, I highly suggest a stay here, even if it is for one night. The concierge can also help you obtain hard to obtain restaurant or beach club reservations.

Monastero Santa Rosa

Restaurants:

Rosellini’s at Palazzo Avino
Cumpa’ Cosimo – Get the meatballs

Sorrento– Northern Amalfi, a little bigger than the other Amalfi towns but equally as beautiful.

Bars:

Sky View Bar

Bar Ruccio

Fauno

Beach Clubs – Conca del Sogno (only accessible by private boat, highly recommend.) Order a Sgroppino, very refreshing.

Resaturants:

Terrazza Bosquet (Grand Hotel Excelsior) – 1 Michelin star and a fantastic view

Bagni Delfino

L’Antica Trattoria

La Cantinaccia del Popolo

O’ Parrucchiano- This is the restaurant that invented Canneloni! Beautiful restaurant in a garden setting. There is better food in Sorrento

Capri– Take the ferry there from the port of Naples. Make sure when you get there to take the gondola to the top, and also to make your way to the bottom of the island and take a boat gondola in to the “Blue Grotto” (Grotta dello Smeraldo), a cave that once you enter you see the water in a magnificent deep blue color.

Beach Club – La Fontelina is a beautiful restaurant and beach club only accessible by Private Boat, highly reccomend.

Praiano:

Stay at Casa Angelina

Restaurants:

Da Armandino

Un Piano Nel Cielo

Il Pirata (also a fun beach club!)

Festival of Luminaria di San Domenico (summer)

Salerno-Eastern Amalfi and a bigger town than Sorrento, Positano, Ravello, Amalfi, Praiano. It’s more of a junior city. It has good connection to Rome and Naples. Walk around centro storico, and at night check out the bar scene.
