Depending on which country you’re visiting you will most likely need a converter / adapter kit for your electronics to work (especially if you are an American).

While you can usually find those relatively easy in airports, shopping areas, or hotels if you are staying in one, it’s best to have it in advance so you don’t have to worry about finding one while you’re there. It’s best to choose an adapter that has power surge protection incase of a short circuit that can happen when you are mixing different voltages and outlets.
