Mexico City is an amazing, crazy, artistic, fun, delicious city that needs to be explored. Traffic here can sometimes be insane but its well worth it. While you should always be cautious, don’t be scared by notions that DF is very “unsafe”. Be careful around your surroundings and you will be fine, and spend the majority of your time in La Condesa, Roma Norte, and Polanco. If you happen to have a local who knows the city well, they can show you other more “local” areas.
