Peru is a beautiful country that has rich history, people, and an unbelievable food scene (especially in Lima). I felt it was less touristy than many of the other South American countries, and the people there really are some of the friendliest people I have met. There are a million things to try while here, but some of my favorites are Lomo Saltado, Aji de gallina, ceviche, pisco sour, inca cola, chicha morada, papas a la hauncaina, polla a la brasa (ask for aji verde on the side too!).
